Our curator, Liz Hernández has a trained eye for identifying the technical and creative strengths of a work of art.
Known for being intuitive, hard-working, courageous, and mission-driven, Liz has over 25 years of experience as an art curator, gallery owner, advisor to art buyers, advocate for artists and the arts. She has also served as an advisor and innovator for non-profit arts & community organizations.
As a creative entrepreneur, she embraces imagination, change, diversity, and artistic expression with the same verve and commitment that she brings to strategic partnerships, community engagement, and economic growth.
Born in Queens, New York, and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Liz currently lives in Tucson, Arizona where she has served on several boards including The Foundation for Creative Broadcasting, Girls Scouts of America, Tucson Pima Arts Council, and Arizona Theatre Company.
In Phoenix, she served as a Board member of the Scottsdale Gallery Association, Industry Partner of ASID, member of the Phoenix Art Museum’s Contemporary Forum, and President of the Latin American Art Alliance.
Liz is a lifelong cultural explorer who has traveled and learned about the art, architecture, and culture around the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
